... at the end of October Konstantin and I decided on very short notice to get married on our anniversary day ... November 19th... unfortunately it wasn't possible that quickly in Vienna, Austria ... so we thought about different places which have been important to us during our long time of friend- and partnership ...
why not in New York ... concrete jungle where dreams are made of ... there's nothing you can't do ... so let's go to NEW YORK!!!
all alone ... just by ourselves ... we organized everything in secret, nobody knew anything about it ... we really wanted to enjoy this day together ... only the two of us ... so we started planning our special day ... with a very romantic breakfast, a tour to the statue of liberty, a walk through battery park, then getting married at the City Clerk Office, have another walk to Brooklyn Bridge afterwards, eat a wedding cake somewhere ... do a helicopter flight around sundown and finally dinner at the spice market restaurant ...
everything seemed so easy ... the only problem we had ... HOW should we find a photographer?????
after several helpless tries via internet, I asked a friend living in NY, whether she could help us ... and she could!
only 5 to 10 minutes later after we had got Maria’s homepage, we decided, it must be HER ;-) so I called her ... and it was great fun talking to her ... I felt like I was talking to a long time known friend ... and when we met, we had the same feeling again! the four hours she joined us during our day had been so special to us ... not only during the ceremony ... as well as during our "wedding walk" afterwards ... she turned us into "stars"!!!! we felt like tiny celebreties ;-)
... and of course you can see that in the pictures she has made of us! these increased our surprise to our family and friends at home!
Maria, THANK YOU SO MUCH, you made our special day even more special!!! I'm sure we'll meet you again, whenever we've the chance to get to New York ... drinks are on us!
